Last Thursday was my birthday and it was very scrumptiously knit-filled.
From Thing 1 I received Alice Starmore's reprint of Aran Knitting which I read throughout Shabbat and will be starting on St. Brigid some time soon.
Thing 2 gave me Sock Yarn One Skein Wonders which will (hopefully) help me work through my sock yarn stash.
Thing 3's gift was the classic Patterns for Guernseys, Jerseys, and Arans: Fishermen's Sweaters from the British Isles by Gladys Thompson
Aba gave me the DVD Knitting Around with Elizabeth Zimmermann and Meg Swansen.
I also gave myself the DVD Respect the Spindle.
The girls and I went house hunting for the afternoon and then out for lunch with Aba followed by knitting night and a nightcap of appetizers and desserts at 26 by Shiloh. (Where I knit while waiting for my rest of my party.)
Of course, this means I have to really work through some stash and stop buying pattern books. Le sigh.
