Upcoming Homeschool Activities

Project MOT will be packing Pesah boxes for deployed Jewish American soldiers. All ages are welcome as long as the child can help rather than running around and getting in the way. (Aba and I feel that the girls are a bit young for this so we will only be making a drop-off of some Pesah goodies.)

Lakeshore Learning has free arts and crafts projects on Saturdays for all children 3 and up. In May they will be experimenting with having these on Sunday. I don't have dates and times, but will post when I know. You can sign up on their mailing list to recieve notification.

Legoland and Legoland Aquarium has Homeschooling days on Mondays, March 14, May 2, May 9 and May 16. Cost is $21 for Legoland only, $9 for the aquarium only and $25 for both.

California Homeschool Network's Expo will be on July 21, 22, 23 and 24 at the Radisson Ontario. Its only an hour drive from Los Angeles and I'm hoping to make it for either the Thursday or Sunday session. (Let me know if you want to carpool.) I'm also donating a prize package of Usborne Books!

Sea World Homeschooling Day is May 4.

The ScienCenter will have homeschool days on Monday March 21, Monday, April 11 and Monday May16. You can go on the California science center website for more details and registration.  The event starts at 10, registration at 9:30.  You can see the topics for the dates as well.  

Upcoming Homeschool Activities

There is quite a bit going on in the local homeschooling community. Here are some fun things you might be interested in:

Leonardo DaVinci exhibit at Hollywood and Highland. Pricey if you go alone, but a deal if you can get in on a homeschool group visit.

Homeschool Days at Legoland and the aquarium, Natural History Museum and The ScienCenter.

Project MOT will be packing care packages for Jewish soldiers on March 13.

There are a lot of classes and get-togethers posted on the various lists so check your emails and if you haven't joined already, consider joining FaCE-LA, Homeschool Adventure Playgroup (for little ones) and LA Jewish Homeschoolers.

I'm hoping to organize a trip to Star EcoStation, another trip to the snow and also a trip to see wildflowers as well as a huge list of summer activities.
